Thank you for taking the time to visit our class page. We hope that you like what you see. Working alongside Mrs Conway will be Mrs Thomas, Mrs Morrison & Mrs Powell.

On this page, you will be able to view some of the work that the children have done and what we are going to do. The children are working exceptionally hard so far this year. We are very proud of them.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Reading Books 

Please ensure that children bring their reading books and yellow reading record books to school every day. Pupils are encouraged to read at home to an adult on a regular basis.

P.E. 

P.E. will take place every Thursday therefore please would you ensure that your child brings gym kit to school on this day. Kit is a T-shirt and shorts/tracksuit trousers and trainers or black pumps. For your child’s safety, no jewellery is to be worn, and long hair should be tied back. 

Homework 

Homework is given on Monday to be returned to school by Friday to be marked. On occasions extra or different work is given in line with class theme.  

We usually have mental maths tests on a Monday and a spelling test on a Friday.

Home Learning

Click the icon below, there are a range of activities for the pupils in Year 4 to complete at home. Please ensure you access Google Classroom daily. Keep checking the class page and HWB for additional resources.

Google for Education - Via Hwb

In year 4, we strive to promote safe digital learning and independence. One way in which we do this is through a software Google for Education or 'Google Classrooms'. This resource allows pupils to access learning through laptops, ipads etc through their HWB accounts.
Pupils can access learning on here during their time in school as well as at home. 
Due to the current 'Covid 19' situation we are limiting the amount of objects being passed from home to school and vice versa.
Google classrooms has a wide range of state of the art features that will allow us to:

1 - Set homework for pupils which can be accessed electronically at home

2 - Provide a communication platform for pupils around the work they are completing.

3 - Allow pupils to access learning, should there be another general lockdown.

The pupils have joined their classes and no passcode is needed. However, below is some helps, tips and troubling shooting guides for parents and pupils.
